Apply for Youth Leadership Conference in Washington, DC!

Four (4) students in Winona County will be selected for a full scholarship (including travel, lodging, food, and training materials) to attend the National Youth Leadership Conference with ASAP staff or community leaders.

What is the Youth Leadership Conference?

The National Youth Leadership Conference is a four-day event packed with student leadership training to learn the latest strategies to fight substance misuse and hear from nationally-known experts and policymakers. There is also a full day dedicated to Capitol Hill events where you can meet your elected officials in Congress.

When is the conference?

Monday, January, 31st through Thursday, February 3rd, 2021

If selected, you should allow for 1 travel day before and after these dates.

Where is the conference?

The entire conference will be held at the magnificent Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center (201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745).

Who can attend?

Students must be 18 years of age or younger in high school.

What are the requirements?

Students must commit to attending the full conference and participating in the implementation of a project after the conference.

Parent/guardian consent must also be provided.

Students are responsible for their own snacks and souvenirs.

Applications are due no later than Thursday, December 9th.
