What is the MSS?
The Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) is the primary source of comprehensive data on young people at the state, county, and local level in Minnesota. It has been conducted every 3 years since 1989, and is the only consistent source of statewide data. It is a wonderful opportunity to hear what students think and feel, and for the community to recognize and support youth. Many local organizations also rely on portions of the survey data for strategic planning or grant writing.
